Stretched beyond all possible limits his gaze into the the distance was unbroken. A sea of sand lay before him. Behind was a cloud of smoke and the smell of burning rubber tweaked his nostril hairs as he gulped down fresh air. A puddle of water mixed with bubbling oil quickly disappeared and vapourised into oblivion. Moving slowly, head pounding, he started putting one foot in front of the other. He only had one chance to find help. His feet dragged through the sand. He struggled to find fresh, clean water. His eyesight was turning blurry. Suddenly, he fell to the ground, with his hands dug into the hot, smooth, golden sand struggling to get up. His eyes were twitching as they slowly closed…

  5. He slowly started to move forward, the thought of not seeing his family kept crossing his mind. Then the sound of engines filled the air, he grabbed a stick and wrote a message in the sand but the plane didn’t stop, his smile just turned upside down and a tear dropped down from his eye. There was a large trail of redness following him, the man fell to his knees, collapsed onto the sand, his breathing stopped and his eyes shut very slowly.

He only had one chance to find someone to help him. he dragged his leg in the hot sizzling sand. The sun made him fall down because it was burning hot and sizzling. He walked past some burnt ugly looking birds on the ground. When he got to the middle of the desert there were birds all over the place scrambled up and cooked with some sand in them they were just lying there doing nothing.
